A quick update on my plans for 2009

Makin' a ListI’m not back in the groove of posting every day or two yet, but I’m getting there. When my daughter goes back to school after the Australian school holidays/vacation end at the beginning of February, I’ll be hitting the ground running. I’m still warming up.

Here is a rough idea of my plans for the near future:

1. I’m working on a theme redesign for this blog that I feel will better represent this site.

2. I’m working on a WordPress-related product dedicated to helping Website Owners get control over their websites, saving time and effort, and a lot of money.

3. I’m working on a book on how Website Owners can save time working online using Firefox.

4. I’m building relationships through Twitter. Follow me at http://twitter.com/trishacupra

5. I’m creating Squidoo lenses, like WordPress Power.

6. I’m creating an information product related to dogs.

7. I’m taking on a virtual assistant and expanding.

I’m very excited about this year. I’ve been dreaming big dreams and this year they are going to come to fruition.

On the personal side of things…

1. I’m getting healthier by eating more fresh, raw food in my already-vegetarian diet.

2. I’m going to improve my vegetarian cooking skills.

3. I’m going to learn the Ukulele.

4. I’m waging a War on Clutter and getting organized. I’m creating a routine and planning more.

5. And I’m going to take inspiration from the Yes Man movie and say “Yes!” to many more opportunities.

Here’s to a great 2009.

Internet Explorer Loses. Firefox, Safari and Opera Gains

More people are switching to a better web browser. Have you switched yet? As IE’s slice of the pie gets smaller, web designers and developers feel happier, because IE doesn’t follow the rules (standards) of proper web design.

“Internet Explorer continues losing its market share. This time it lost more than 1%, from 74.83% to 73.75% (1.08% decrease).” Read more at Internet Explorer Loses.

How to fix saving and downloading problems in Firefox

Puzzled by FirefoxToday I had the strangest problem.

Normally, I don’t have problems with Firefox, my web browser. (Which happens to be much better than Internet Explorer, by the way. Please switch to Firefox.)

So, I was very surprised when I found my Download Statusbar extension wasn’t appearing when I downloaded stuff. Then I tried to save an image to my Desktop, and it just wouldn’t save. I thought I was going crazy.
